What pet-safe dish soap can I use for my cat's bowl in Singapore?

There is a chance of toxicity with ingesting dish soap. Dish soap is listed as a non-ionic detergent, and you will see vomiting and diarrhea if she digests it. I recommend trying to get her to wash the rest off, and the monitor her. If she does starting vomiting and having diarrhea, you need to take her to your vet right away. Your vet will have to administer treatment, as inducing vomiting is not recommended because it will do more harm than good. Next time you wash your cat, I'd recommend a pet shampoo to do it.

Thanks for reaching out. The answer is, depends on the dish soap. Wildlife groups have been using Dawn dish soap on oil spill birds for decades. It is assumed they are rushing to treat lots of animals in a hurry, and therefore not getting a thorough rinse. They probably ingest some, but seem to do okay. Good luck.

You can use plain vinegar and water in a 50/50 dilution to clean most hard surfaces. Commercial products that are safe to use include Green Works wipes, the Seventh Generation line and the Mrs. Meyer's line of "eco-cleaners".

Hello. I would not recommend putting soap in your cats ears. You can purchase an ear mite remedy at most pet retailers, but you might want to have your veterinarian take a look first. Many times when people think their pet has ear mites, it is actually an infection, foreign body ( like grass awn ) or allergies. These all will require different treatments or remedies. As long as you thoroughly rinse the rugs after they are washed, there shouldn't be a problem with any residue from the cleaner. If you can find a soap/shampoo called Orvus in your area, or order it online, that should be a safe, effective cleaner. I have used it myself to bathe horses, so it shouldn't be a problem using it to clean rugs for your cats to lie on.
