Kitten trapped in door, seems fine. Why does she flinch when touched?

Puss's tail could still be painful, which may be why she won't let you touch it. Do NOT give her any human pain medications. Many are toxic to cats, and can be fatal if given. Keep an eye on her, and if she is still sensitive to having her tail touched after another 24 hours, have her seen by a vet. I hope this helps!

She could be painful, even though she is still running and walking normally as cats can be good at hiding their pain. Lethargy can also be caused by a medical problem, such as systemic illness, infection, or inflammation. Given this has been going on for a week now, I'd recommend having Lilly seen by a vet for a health check. It's also way good to have a cat checked out by a vet when they are acting differently than normal. The vet can let you know if she is in pain or if there is a medical cause behind her change in behavior, and how best to treat it. If Kekr is eating, jumping around like a young cat should and not vomiting then I don't think you should worry. Most cats really only like to be scratched around the head, unless you find the rare "dog" like cat that like belly and back scratches. Just like people cats come in a variety of personalities. I recommend leaving her be when she has these moments of being grumpy. I hope this helps!

Trauma to the eye, head, and neck can result in many different problems. I am glad she seems improved today, but I would still highly encourage you to have her evaluated by a veterinarian. If the eye has an injury early intervention is best. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon.

Hi! It sounds as if Alice has been injured in this area. Is it possible that another cat may have bit her? If so, she could have an abscess (infection under the skin) brewing. Or, she might have landed wrong in a jump, and strained the muscles. Keep an eye on her tonight, and if this is still an issue in the morning, it is probably best that she is checked out by her vet. They might be able to figure out what is causing the tenderness, and prescribe some medication. Best of luck!
