This is most of the time differentiated with a test called a fine needle aspirate which is easy, cheap and pain-free. Sometimes, a biopsy is required for a diagnosis. Have Bumble bee evaluated by your veterinarian to have this test performed to try to sort out what the diagnosis is so that the best course of action can be determined. They could evaluate his nails as well which he could potentially have an infection going on. Keeping my fingers crossed that it is something benign!

There are many possibilities, Bubby may have an abscess from a bit especially if he is an outdoor cat, it could be a mat of hair if he is a long haired cat or it could be a tumor. It is difficult to determine without actually seeing the lumps. Have your vet take a look at her. Your vet can do a needle aspirate, if needed, to diagnose and then your vet can recommend a treatment plan. She might need an antibiotic or they might need to be removed.

This may be a reaction to a vaccine if administered recently that should disappear with time.
