Hi, my 8-9 week old kitten went through deworming with 2 doses and 2 weeks after the first dose he began having diarrhea once a day, now about a week after the second dose his anus sometimes is red and so far he has not had a poop today, the red looks like inside his anus and it's only about the size of a pen tip, I only seen it once today and he doesn't seem to be in any pain and he is acting normal and playful, I have a 2nd kitten that was dewormed and he is not experiencing anything

Even though Coco has been dewormed twice she could still have intestinal parasites like coccidia that would not be susceptible to standard dewormers. Other causes of diarrhea include infections or food sensitivities. I would recommend seeing a vet for a fecal analysis. If it is normal you can discuss diet changes that could help, like increasing fiber or trying a limited ingredient diet.

Congrats on your new kitten, but I’m sorry Salem has diarrhea. If he had worms and was given a deworming treatment, then you can see more diarrhea due to the dead worms being passed. The diarrhea should improve, but if it doesn’t in the next 24-48 hours, then I would take him back into the vet. I hope this helps.
