I would agree with Dr. Johnson. Catnip and Feliway spray can be helpful. You might also consider some training, by having her spend time in her carrier at home without actually going anywhere. I sympathize with you. I just moved across the country with my 2 cats last year. There are a number of over the counter options, but none of them are as reliable as prescription medications. So, it really depends on how anxious your cats are as to which would be a better option for them. We used to recommend tranquilizers for traveling which would sedate an animal, but we now recommend milder anti-anxiety medications that do not cause excessive sedation. A 10 hour trip might be very long for your cat, especially if he does not like riding in the car. Your vet could prescribe a medication to help keep him calm during the trip. I don't recommend giving him any medicines unless your vet recommends it, especially since he has asthma.
