Why is my cat throwing up yellow/brown after eating cereal?

There could be several causes of vomiting in your cat - gastritis (inflammation of the stomach wall), pancreatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal parasites. The vomitus is yellow because it is mostly stomach acid and bile. This is not unusual if the stomach is empty of food when the cat vomits. I would recommend withholding food for 12-24 hours (small amounts of water is ok) and see if the vomiting resolves. If Toffee continues vomiting then I would recommend you take her in to the vet to be checked out.

I would be concerned this is related to Duster's kidney problems, as kidney failure is very common in senior cats and causes vomiting. It could also be a problem with his liver. I'd have him seen by a vet right away for this problem. Best of luck.

Vomiting can occur from many conditions such as kidney disease, pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. I recommend that you have Peaches evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. This will likely require bloodwork and abdominal imaging in terms of diagnostics. Treatment would be based on findings. At the very least your veterinarian could start him on medications to make him feel better. I'm sorry to hear that Dylan is experiencing so much vomiting. If it is still continuing, he will need to see his veterinarian. Profuse vomiting can have several causes, but the most worrisome is a foreign body obstruction. This occurs when a cat eats something such as a hair band, a piece of string or a toy. It then becomes blocked in the intestine causing the cat to vomit. I hope this information helps!

Pale coloured stool is very concerning (especially if her diet has not changed) as it indicates that the normal process of digestion and excretion is not being completed. Much of the normal stool colour comes from waste products of digestion including bile pigments and pale faeces can be a result of blockage of bile and/or reduced liver function. I would recommend a vet check and possible blood tests or ultrasound as soon as possible

I recommend taking Ebony in for a veterinary exam. if he is loosing weight and continuing to vomit then something more than parasites is likely the cause. Anything from toxin ingestion, pancreatitis, lymphoma, inflammatory bowel disease or a GI blockage could cause the signs you describe. After a good physcial exam the vet may recommend diagnostic testing to see what is causing Ebony's illness. I hope Ebony is better soon.
