Why is my cat vomiting and peeing on clothes? Could she be sick?

Poor kitty! In a 13 year old cat, I strongly suspect that she has a medical problem causing these issues. Some common possible causes would include hyperthyroidism, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease. I would recommend taking her to the vet for an exam as soon as you are able to - he/she can do blood work and a urinalysis to help diagnose the problem and get her started on appropriate medication to treat it.

If she is vomiting so frequently, she may have an issue with her stomach or intestines. This could be something as simple as a dietary intolerance, or could be as scary as cancer. Poor Luna. The dark urine could be due to her being dehydrated, which could be caused by the vomiting. Vomiting could be cause by a GI illness, eating something rotten, a foreign body, or pancreatitis to name a few causes. She may be peeing everywhere the house due to feeling ill. This cannot be treated at home, you need to take her into a vet immediately.

Hello. I am sorry to hear that Smokey isn't feeling well. Vomiting in cats can be due to many reasons including gastric upset, obstructions (something stuck in the gut where it shouldn't be), constipation, pain and stress. Peeing outside the litter box can be due to a medical condition (urinary tract infection, metabolic disease like diabetes, crystals, or interstitial cystitis). Peeing outside the box can also be behavioral if the box isn't cleaned, if there aren't enough litter boxes (# of cats + 1 = # of litter boxes), or if she isn't feeling well and she is trying to tell you. Also, since your cat is unspayed, she is at risk for pyometra (infected uterus). If she is still bright and happy and wanting to play and eat I would try changing the litter, getting another box, and seeing if this behavior goes away. Alternatively you can bring her to a vet and get her urine checked- this is ideal. If she is not bright, not wanting to eat, and the vomiting continues and she continues to not use the litter I would have her seen right away by a veterinarian as there could be something seriously wrong. Also, since she is unspayed, she could be marking, I would recommend getting her spayed once this illness is cleared up. I hope she feels better soon.

This is not normal at all. She may be suffering from a urinary tract infection, and/or incontinence. She is licking herself and her bed trying to clean the urine off. I suggest you take your kitty to your veterinarian for an exam and a urinalysis. If she is suffering from a UTI she will need prescription medication.

This is enough concerning things to warrant a trip to the veterinarian. The hair loss may be due to allergies, to fleas or food, or environmental contaminants. The vomiting could be related to hair loss or food allergy and the vocalization can certainly indicate pain. She may have a number of conditions, including a urinary tract infection, always suspect when their toilet habits change abruptly. The best first step is going to see the vet for an exam and labwork. based on those results, the vet will be better able to determine the reason for the cat's illness and get her started on the correct treatment.

It sounds as Cara is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.
