My female 10 years old cat has been vomiting her own digested hair for the last 2 weeks as she's been licking it so much and its getting hotter her ein Texas, she's Persian with super fluffy hair should I be worried? The vomit consists of a hair ball, thats all. She's eating well and sleeping alot as usual, nothing unusual in her fecies.. is there something to worry about? To be done? Thank you.

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Qumar. Poor girl. I imagine she is overgrooming due to the heat, leading to the formation of hair balls and vomiting. Vomiting isn't normal, so I would brush her every day to cut down on the shedding. I would also consider taking her into a groomer to get her groomed for the warm weather. I have a Persian, and I shave him in warm weather, which makes him much more comfortable. That may be an option for her. I hope this helps!
