Why does my cat vomit yellow fluid, food, and sneeze in the morning?

Hairballs shouldn't cause this much trouble coming up, though I can't be certain why it was such an issue this time. However, based on your description of Persyk after the event, it sounds like she has some vomitus in her nasal passages. A small amount of liquid should resolve on it's own within a day or two, but if there was any solid material, it could have become trapped and would continue to cause the nasal pain, sneezing, running nose, etc. I would say that if she isn't back to normal in a day or so, she needs to be checked out by a vet. After physical examination, the vet may recommend sedation to flush the nasal passage and do a more thorough exam.

Poor guy. It sounds like he has a bit of allergic rhinitis, which can be caused by aerosolized chemicals or just dust/dander in the air. I would recommend using Heppa filters to vaccuum your home and try to eliminate any aerosolized chemicals or irritants that may be causing this. Otherwise, as long as he doesn't continue to vomit, then he should be ok. If the sneezing continues contact your vet to see if they can prescribe some antihistamines to try for him without a required vet visit. Poor Ziggy! He looks like a very handsome kitty! Chronic vomiting is definitely a cause for concern, especially if an animal is not eating or having lower energy levels. It can be caused by foreign bodies, toxin ingestion, dietary indiscretion, or certain parasites. Cats can commonly have lingering upper respiratory infections. I would recommend that you have your kitty checked out by a vet. They can help diagnose an infection, allergies, or even asthma. Cats have VERY sensitive noses and a strong sense of smell, so I would definitely avoid Vick’s as it can be very irritating to them. Depending on the diagnosis, your vet may recommend steroids, antihistamines, or another treatment that will help him out.

It may have been that the kittens were perfectly healthy the other day and now it sounds like the male is having symptoms of a upper respiratory viral infection with the sneezing. These viruses usually are self limiting and do not cause major illness. However, if he is not eating, continues to vomit, and/or is acting lethargic please have him rechecked as soon as you can.

Yes, I would be concerned because it isn't normal that Sylvester is vomiting after meals, and that tells me that something is wrong with him. He could have a foreign body, GI illness, or may have eaten something rotten. I would take him into a vet today. Best of luck.

He could have an upper airway infection or possibly an allergy. If his signs continue then he should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. He might need an antibiotic and other medications to help treat the problem.
