My cat has a URI. Is a bloody nose or breathing difficulty normal?

If Mimi is still fighting a respiratory infection, the blood coming from the nose could be due to what we call rhinitis (inflammation of the sinuses / mucous membranes of the nose). This is common in unresolved upper respiratory infections. If you are only seeing a small amount and the blood is not profuse, you should be ok to wait until this week to have Mimi seen. If she is showing more blood and the amount if profuse, she needs to be seen immediately by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. Batman may have some residual inflammation in the nose from the previous infection. I would recommend using a supplement called duralactin with lysine to help treat a viral infection such as herpes virus. This could have been the cause previously but could be lingering and causing continued symptoms. I would also recommend an anti inflammatory drug short term and see how he does. She is probably suffering from a chronic upper respiratory infection, you need to take her to the vet to get it checked and treated, a relatively long course of antibiotic will likely be needed to treat this condition.

Poor Jewels! Yes, he could be sneezing so forcefully that his nose could be bleeding. He needs to see a vet for this problem. Given that he's feral, you may have trouble getting him to a vet. I would see if there is a mobile vet in your area. They could come to your house to see him, and give him a long acting antibiotic shot (if required) to treat his symptoms. It may take 7-10 days for the condition to resolve. As long as he is still eating, breathing normal, and has normal energy then continue the medications as directed and monitor his condition. If he has a viral infection then it will need to just run it's course as the antibiotics will only treat a bacterial infection. If he stops eating, becomes lethargic, or has any breathing issues then he should be rechecked by a vet.

This can be due to a mass such as a polyp, which are common in middle aged cats or a foreign body. You can make an appointment at a specialty hospital that has the capability to do rhinoscopy, which is basically a procedure that puts a small camera into the nasal passages and airways. Is it a lot of blood or just a drop? if it is a lot of blood I recommend emergency. If it is a drop and only happened once and he is acting ok then you can wait. There are veterinarians typically open on Saturday that are not emergency hospitals. I would talk with your veterinarian about a possible polyp if he consistently is having respiratory issues.
