My cat is sneezing. What's the safe dosage for leftover amoxicillin?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 2 months old

How much amoxicillin can she get for sneezing? Hazel was sneezing last week and I still have amoxicillin left. What would be the dosage amount for her? She is 10lbs. I have the liquid one.

I would try to start her on a regimen of benadryl twice a day. See link below. If she isn't having nasal discharge and eye discharge then it is unlikely a true upper respiratory infection. Since I do not know the exact concentration of the amoxicillin liquid, I would call your vet to see what amount is safe for her. It is LIKELY 1mL but I cannot say for sure without knowing all of the information. I also cannot say what is safe for Crystal since I do not know her full history. I hope this helps!
