My cat sneezed blood after a respiratory infection. Should I worry?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 1 year old

My cat sourpatch has finally started to show signs of recovering from his Respiratory Infection. He's eating and drinking now but this morning he sneezed blood and had some blood in his nose. Should I be concerned?

Monitor him as see if it happens again. If it continues than he should be examined by a vet as he may have developed a sinus infection and need an antibiotic to treat. The fact that he is eating and drinking now is a good sign but if it continues than he should be examined by your vet.
