Is my cat's pre-neutering blood test normal and safe for surgery?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 1 year and 2 months old

Hi, Leo's blood test report came today. Could you please check and tell me if this report is normal and satisfactory to get neuturing surgery done soon?

The only real abnormality is a lower than normal platelet count. Often times this is a machine error but I recommend to have this value rechecked. You make all your veterinarian and ask if they can manually count the platelets. This is often the best way to know if the platelet count is normal or not. Have this done before his surgery. Best of luck.
