My cat keeps peeing on the tile floor next to his litter box. He started this when i switched a covered box. He would pee on the littermat and poop in the box. I switched back to an open box, have cleaned the floor with vinegar, odor remover, and have even sprayed the floor with pet deterrert. I also switched littermats but he is still doing it. Please helo

I am sorry that your cat is having this issue.
I would recommend keeping the lid off the litter box at all times. Some cats like litter boxes that are covered while other cats like them when they are not covered.
I would also recommend adding in another litter box since it is ideal to have however many cats you have plus one in your house. I also recommend cleaning the litter box at least once a day. Making sure there is a litter box on each floor so that way your cat doesn't have to go to another level of the house to go to the bathroom.
After this is he is still urinating outside the box I would recommend taking him to a veterinarian to make sure he does not have a urinary tract infection.
