My cat only eats when hand-fed. How can I get him to eat by himself?

Sammy does not eat food by himself. Gets up after eating a little. But I feed it with my hand then he eats till the end of the whole meal. What should I do so that he eats himself well?

It sounds like Sammy has got used to you feeding him from your hand. You need to stop and resist the urge to revert to hand feeding. When he is hungry he will eat. Try a different material of bowl such as ceramic, or even try feeding on a plate instead.
