My cat stopped eating and pooping for two days. What should I do?

It's very serious when a cat won't eat, and if they don't eat going on 72 hours, they will develop a fatty liver which is fatal without treatment. She's probably not pooping because she isn't eating. It can be caused by dental problems, systemic illness, inflammation, infection, or injury. It's also concerning when a cat goes too long without eating (about 72 hours) as they will develop a fatty liver which is fatal without treatment. It's best to avoid this, so I would try to tempt him to eat with some boiled white meat chicken (no bones), and if he refuses to eat that, take him into the vet in the morning for a health check. Poos is experiencing very general symptoms of disease, these symptoms could fit almost any internal condition, maybe he is suffering from nausea due to a gastrointestinal disease and maybe he is in pain, from the symptoms described it's very hard to know. i would recommend taking him to the vet as soon as possible in order to get him checked, if he doesn't show any other obvious symptoms during the examination, a blood test and possibly an ultrasound will be needed in order to try and find out what is wrong with Poos.

You can also try ONE dose of miralax liquid (regular human strength. Give 1/4 tsp by mouth once. (If there are other things going on it could worsen dehydration so do NOT give more than one dose just in case). But the truth is, once Sapphire goes 24 hours without eating, it’s time to see the vet. At that point we have to consider something else like a fever, infection, injury, organ disease, toxin etc. Even if it is regular old constipation, an enema or stronger laxative may be needed.
