Hello, my cat has lost his voice and i can hear some weird sounds in his purring What could be the cause and what can be done?

This sign could be compatible with an upper respiratory tract inflammation/infection or possibly to a inflammation of the larynx/trachea or bronchi (inflammatory, allergic, infective). A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. An x ray of the chest and possibly antibiotics may be needed.
