Why is my cat's heart rate low when she's resting or sleeping?

That sounds a bit low. The normal rate is about 140-220 beats per minute. I don't think I would be overly concerned with 80 as long as the cat was resting at the time. I suggest you take it at varying times during the day and make an average. If you notice that on average, it is below 65 then I would suggest taking him to the vet for an exam. Hope this helps. That said, a heart rate of 50 per minute is quite low, so I am thinking you may not be counting right. Count the beats for 15 seconds and then multiply by 4. Do this three times in a row and then take the average.I recommend you trust your vet. If he says all is well, then all is well. He would not do the dental cleaning under anesthesia if he though there was an exceptional risk.

Some cats do snore, but that is usually when they are asleep. It's not normal for a cat to snore when awake, and if he's done it since he was a baby, it could be that he has a congenital defect causing it. I would have Tota examined by a vet for this issue. There is no need for you to measure his blood glucose, and you should not do that on Tota. It requires a blood sample from him, and that can be difficult to get from cats. A vet will be best to determine if and when he needs his blood glucose checked (i.e. if he has diabetes), and will do the test themselves.

Yes it is normal for you to be able to see her chest rise and fall as she breathes but she shouldn't be breathing fast. Usually when resting they will have a respiratory rate of less that 20 breaths per minute. You can count this by counting each rise in her chest over a minute. If she is breathing rapidly or open mouth breathing then there is likely something seriously wrong like a respiratory infection or heart problem.
