I have a 10 year old cat with IBS. Prednisilone worked well but caused diabetes. Are there any other treatments?

Poor guy. Yes of course. You can try a diet if you haven't already, such as the Royal Canin hypoallergenic hydrolyzed protein or the Hill's Z/D diet. Or you can try an alternative medication called Budesonide. Ask you vet about this medication, which is used in pets that are refractory to the steroids for their IBD. It also doesn't have many of the systemic steroid effects and won't lead to diabetes.
I hope this helps and best of luck getting Samson on a more suitable medication for his IBD. Take care!
