My cat hisses, dog dislikes new puppy. How to make them get along?

Yes, it will likely take time, considering the cat's routines have been shaken up by the new puppy! Expect a few weeks to even months before things return to "normal". That said, making sure your cats have a place where they can relax without the puppy present (high perches, closed off rooms, etc) and can get to their food, litter, etc without the puppy is best for helping them to settle in. Make sure yo reward your puppy (and cats) for calm behavior. If someone gets too worked up or excited, taking a break with everyone in separate rooms until calmed down, and then trying again after can help teach your puppy that they get to have fun when quiet and calm, but that fun stops when everyone is too excited. In many cases puppies and cats will learn to tolerate peacefully each others behaviors but it is unlikely the cats will want to actually play with him. There are often teething troubles and it may result in the puppy getting scratched until he learns to keep his distance, which if in the eye can create painful ulcers but if you don't want to keep them permanently segregated I suggest you work on clicker training the puppy to help redirecting his behavior and use a child gate or other escape barrier to allow the cats to leave the room but keep the puppy in so they can avoid him if necessary

It does take time. I can give you a method that has worked for me, but know hissing and growling is ok. It's her way of letting the dog know she isn't comfortable. Aggression is not ok (hitting and biting), but the behavior is ok. I would keep them in rooms separated by a door. This way, they can get used to the smells and sounds of each other without contact. Make sure your kitten has a litter box, food, and water in their room. You can also place a blanket with the dog's smell in the kitten's room, and a blanket with the kitten's smell in the odg's room. I would also consider get a Feliway for your kitten and a DAP for your dog. These are pheromone diffusers that help with anxiety and should also help ease the transition. Once both pets seem relaxed with the current situation, swap rooms placing the kitten in the dog's room and vice versa. You can do this switch several times over the course of the introductions. Once they are both comfortable with the smells of each other, it's time for them to meet face to face. I would introduce the dog on a leash to the kitten while she is in a cat carrier or on the other side of a baby gate. Reward the dog for being calm and quiet near the kitten. Once they seem comfortable with each other, the baby gate can be taken away. Oli is so cute! This introduction should be taken slowly to allow all the animals to get used to each other. If you rush it, there will be problems. Be patient, and keep doing what you are doing. As the cats become more calm around him, you can have him on a leash around them to see how he behaves and how he reacts. Congrats on your new cat! Yes, I do think that he has the possibility to be happy around the dogs but it will take time. Moving into a new home is stressful for a cat, and getting used to the current occupants is also stressful especially if he hasn't been around dogs before. It's normal behavior to arch and hiss when the dogs come near to Simba, and as long as he isn't reacting aggressively (trying to hit or bite them), then do not discourage this behavior. He is letting them know his boundaries and what he is comfortable with in regards to them. Give him time to adjust and his relationship with the dogs should improve over time :-)

It may take time for Lilly to accept your other cat even though she is the smaller new cat.
