How long should I wait to use a flea collar after cat flea spray?

Fleas collars do not typically work well. Hartz is not as strong as most other flea medicines and tend to have the most reactions. Advantage is great one that is monthly, Bravecto is another great one and it will last for 3 months but requiers a prescription. I would wait at least 2 weeks in between the topicals for her safety and the flea collar does not matter for timing of products.

Hello. I would wait the full month before using any more topicals on your cats, so that would mean 10/19. If you want to try a Seresto Collar ( which works very well ), you could put this on today if you like. You can also purchase Capstar ( nitenpyram ) over the counter & administer this every 2-3 days until you can use another topical. If you prefer the topicals, consider using Bravecto for cats. I have been very happy with this for my cats & you just apply this once every 3 months. As for bombs, just see what your garden center carries. Most, if not all, now contain an IGR or insect growth regulator, so look for this as it extends the use of the product when it comes to killing fleas. Cats can be sensitive to flea medications. For that reason it is safest to wait 2 weeks between products even with different ingredients. Your vet can prescribe a cap star which is a pill that will last for a day that can help while you wait the remaining time

The products contain different ingredients but I would be cautious in using them at the same time. Cats can be sensitive to the ingredients in medications especially the main ingredients in the spray. Waiting a week in between should be enough time to not cause any harm.

Generally flea products should not be reapplied within 2-4weeks. Many flea products (including sentry) only kill adult fleas after they bite your pet so there can be a timeframe in between where you may see the adult flea before it becomed unwell and dies. I strongly recommend you use an insecticidal household spray to kill any eggs and larvae in the house/bedding areas in such a severe infestation (5% of the fkea population is adult at any one stage; 95% are eggs and developing larvae). Seresto could then be applied after 14days

I would recommend only using one. I prefer topical over collars since not all collars work. There are plenty of topical medications for cats that help prevent fleas and ticks. Some topical you can apply monthly while others like Bravecto can be applied once every 3 months. Without knowing what type of collar and which fipronil product you are using I wouldn't use them together. I would also wait 48 hours before and after a bath before putting topical medication on. Cats are exquisitely sensitive to flea medication, so I would not put the Seresto collar on Willow just yet. Wait at least two weeks, then apply it. You can give her Capstar now. It’s a one time pill that starts killing fleas and is safe to give. I hope this helps!
