I would stop cleaning Moon Moon's sore with hydrogen peroxide. That's because it can actually damage tissues and interrupt the healing process. It is concerning that it's not healing, and the hydrogen peroxide could be part of the problem with it not healing. I would also refrain from putting Neosporin on it. Although quite safe on superficial wounds, cats groom and ingest most of the topical ointment you apply and therefore should be used only under direct veterinary supervision and if there are no other appropriate options. Many human ointments contain multiple other ingredients which are not necessarily safe to be swallowed. I think it would be a good idea to take her into the vet to have her wound examined. The vet can clean the cut, and may prescribe an antibiotic to help it heal if it's infected.

Hello. If you have or can purchase a skin antiseptic, one with either 2% chlorhexidine or 1% povidine iodine, then you can gently clean this 2 times daily. Antibiotics would hasten healing, & if the wound is not looking better by early next week, I would consider a veterinary visit. But by keeping this clean, it will heal, & yes, this has the look of a typical cat bite abscess, so he did get into an argument with another cat. Hi and thanks for posting. From the pictures, the area looks red and infected. I would advise Khora be taken to a veterinarian so they can clean the wound thoroughly and give Khora a course of antibiotics. In the mean time, you can keep the area clean with a mild cleansing cloth or 3% hydrogen peroxide a few times daily, but I would highly recommend seeing a veterinarian. It is difficult to say what the wound is from. I suggest you clip the hair around it as short as possible (be very careful not to cut his skin). Then apply this wound spray gel 3-4 times per day. Hi, it looks like Gelato has an infected wound. If you take a close look to the picture you can see there is a yellow tinge to it. It is not going to heal while infected. To start with, you could clean the area with some salty water putting one spoon of salt in a mug of hot water and leaving it to cool down. Once the salty water is luke warm, you can use it on the wound with some cotton wool. It might be that the yellow scab comes off and it leaves an open gap that it oozing some discharge. I also recommend to wear gloves to clean the wound. If possible at all, nest to have it checked over so your vet can clean it for you, and give antibiotics. Hope this helps !

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Lilly! Is the wound right by his penis? If so that is a very hard location to bandage without covering his penis. The skin around the wound is very swollen and red. i am concerned about an abscess or a warble/cuterebra, which is a fly larvae under the skin. I recommend that you take him to the Vet Monday to have the area evaluated and to start antibiotics. Otherwise he needs an E-collar or cone to prevent licking. Good luck!
