My cat was in a fight and is in pain. Should I take him to the vet?

Hello Anisa! Limping means he is in pain, and pain could make him lethargic as well. Unfortunately there are no OTC pain medications you can give him, as many human ones are toxic to cats and are fatal if given. I think you should take him into the vet first thing in the morning. Hi there. Sorry this happened to Oliver. I really think you need to get him to a vet ASAP. If he is in pain, crying when touched and not walking much on his hindquarters then he needs some pain medication at the very least. He may also need antibiotics if there is wound present you can't see. It is very common for cats, when they get into fights, to have wounds that don't show up until a day or two later when they turn into abscesses. There is no over the counter medication you can give him that are safe. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Poor guy. If he is limping then I would be concerned about an internal fracture or even infection. I would take him to the hospital right away because if an infection is present you want that treated right away. An infection is possible because of Raymond's symptom of lethargy. Also you want to get him some immediate pain relief if possible.

Not eating is extremely serious, as it will lead to a fatty liver if he goes long enough without food. A fatty liver is fatal without treatment. Please bring him into a vet immediately.
