Starting at 8-10 weeks, she should have received a feline distemper vaccine every 3-4 weeks for a full set of three vaccinations. If she did not receive those, then she would need to restart a vaccine protocol appropriate for her age as directed by her regular veterinarian. If she received her vaccines as a kitten, then she would receive a booster every 1-3 years as directed by your regular veterinarian.

I suggest making an appointment with your veterinarian for Oreo as soon as possible for her to have her rabies shot. Your veterinarian will examine her and ensure that she is fit and healthy prior to administering any vaccine.

Typically the distemper vaccine is available as part of a combination shot, but according to VIN (the Veterinary Information Network), the company Merial makes one. It would likely have to be order in specially, and you will need to speak to your vet about that.

Oh goodness, Kurama and the kitten are just adorable! At 3 months of age, it's the perfect time to give Kumara his second distemper/parvo combination vaccine. You may also consider bordetella (kennel cough), especially if he will be spending time around other dogs (grooming, boarding, dog park, etc) as well as leptospirosis, which has become more commonly seen in recent months in the northeast. Vaccines should be given at 8, 12 and 16 weeks of age. We do it that way because of interference with maternal antibodies. Maternal antibodies counteract the vaccines. Kittens get some antibodies against diseases from their mom's milk but we are not quite sure exactly when those antibodies go away. If he did have good maternal antibodies those would have counteracted the vaccines. So, I suggest he get one at 12 week and another at 16 weeks. If he is strictly indoors, he should get he feline distemper vaccine and a rabies vaccine. If he goes outdoors, he should get a FeLV vaccine. He should also be tested for FeLV/FIV, heartworm disease and intestinal parasites.
