Why is my cat throwing up dark vomit, not eating, and pooping outside?

Possible causes of vomiting are: intestinal parasites, viral or bacterial infections, dietary indiscretion (ate something gross), are something that is causing a blockage, pancreatitis, toxin ingestion, hair balls, food allergy/intolerance. Cats with nausea or underlying intestinal disease like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) like to lick cardboard, eat paper products, etc. Since she is under 1 year of age and she is known to lick (at least) foreign objects, a blockage is high on the list. If she continues to vomit I would have her seen today before the weekend for an exam and belly X-rays. If everything looks good the Vet can provide a GI diet, anti-nausea and maybe a hair ball remedy. I wish Harley the best!

I can see that the vomit has blood in it, which can be caused by stomach ulcers. Dark feces can also be an indicator of digested blood in the stool, which occurs with ulcers. Ulcers can be caused by a number of underlying conditions such as chronic foreign bodies, diet, or kidney disease. The sneezing can be a sign of pain or unrelated to the vomiting (concurrent upper respiratory or lung disease). I recommend having your cat seen by a vet right away. They will likely recommend bloodwork and x-rays to diagnose and localize the issue and begin an appropriate treatment plan. Black stool is concerning as that may indicate a bleed in the upper GI tract such as the stomach. If he is also vomiting and has had this ongoing for several days it would be best to seek out veterinary care in person ASAP.

I would be concerned that Hutchi could have a foreign body, severe GI illness, ate something rotten or toxic, or could have pancreatitis. I can't see her in person, so I can't say for this for certain, but her symptoms appear to me to be caused by something more severe than a hairball. It's also serious she isn't eating or drinking, and I would take her back into the vet or have her see another vet for a second opinion.

Unfortunately, these signs are rather vague, and can be caused by a number of conditions including hair balls, intestinal parasites, inappropriate diet, and other more serious conditions such as certain cancers. I recommend having Mel seen by his vet to determine exactly what is going on. You can try feeding a bland diet at home, making sure he gets plenty of water, and grooming Mel to limit hair balls. It sounds as Cara is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

There are a number of concerns here but the development of blacker stools can be indicative of internal bleeding and requires urgent veterinary assessment and a check up of kidney function and dental health (swallowed blood can be detected in stools). It sounds like she has also suffered from colitis and/or pancreatitis (soft, slimey, malodorous) in the past and diet change to a high fiber, low fat complete food may help depending on the findings of her physical exam and blood/urine tests
