What can I add to my cat's diet for dandruff without extra calories?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 1 year and 4 months old | 10 lbs

My one-year-old female cat (black) seems to have dandruff. Is there anything I can add to her diet without adding too many calories to get rid of it?

Poor Cassie! You can try an omega-3 fatty acid supplement such as Welactin for cats, if you like - this often helps with minor dry skin issues. This will not add a significant amount of extra calories to her diet :)
