My cat has crooked eyes. Why is her third eyelid showing? Is it worms?

  A prolapse of the third eye lid can be a sign of neurological disease but also a sign of a tape worm infection. If your cat is otherwise behaving normally, and has no deficits, eats and drinks normally and appears healthy, then it is likely that this is only a tape worm infection. You can worm her with a wormer for cats containing praziquantel available from your vet and/or a petshop. Do not overdose, If Your cat shows abnormalities in behavior or physicallty then you need to take Gopu to a veterinary doctor for an exam.

  If your kitty is an inside outside kitty who tends to also hunt, he could also have tape worm. Sometimes the third eyelid shows when cats are infected with tape worm and/or is infected with a Toro virus causing mild diarrhea as well. This is called Haw's Syndrome and usually goes away with supportive care. If your kitty has access to the outside and catches mice, then there is a chance he ingested a tape worm infected flea. It is not known why tape worm infestation causes the third eyelid to prolapse, however it is suspected that tape worm infection affects the cat's nervous system and therefore the third eyelid prolapses. Ask your vet for some wormer for tape worms (needs to contain praziquantel).
