My cat's cheek bump popped, gunk came out. Is it a zit or serious?

Mammary growths in cats have a high chance of being a malignant cancer. Since they are open and draining, they may also be infected It would be best to have a vet check the area to see if surgery is an option to remove them or at least medication to help clean them and clear the infection. Peroxide can actually delay healing after the first use. You are safer with mild soap and water to wipe it clean

This is an abscess and the white substance is puss. These are often caused by something under the skin that gets infected. It could be a thorn or from a bite. It's best if a vet examines this and explores the wound, because if the cause of the infection is not removed, then the infection will never clear. Sometimes these infections have potential to cause infections elsewhere, or can get worse, so a vet may need to prescribe medication to prevent this. Most likely Charlotte has an abscess on her cheek which is a pocket of puss under the skin. This is most commonly due to a scratch from another cat. You can apply a hot compress to the area to bring in the blood supply to help heal the area. If there is a scab try to remove it so the infection can drain. once the puss is draining continue cleaning the area and try to massage it to remove all the puss. If it won't drain you will need to bring her to your veterinarian to have it cleaned, drained and to get antibiotics for Charlotte to treat the infection. This is either a little abscess or a ruptured sebaceous cyst. You can try to remove the discharge and gently see if you can evacuate more of the whitish material. Afterwards disinfect the wound. You should also cut away some of the hair around it so the discharge does not clump the hair together and form a breeding ground for bacteria. This should heal by itself. If it gets bigger or starts to discharge a lot of pus or blood, your kitty will need to be seen by a vet.

This sounds like your cat had a cat bite abscess, If you can make sure all the green goop (pus) is evacuated. If you have a mild wound disinfectant at home you can flush the cavity. Make sure all the liquid is out. It should heal by itself, if not your kitty needs to be seen by a vet and will likely need prescription antibiotics.

You can clean the area with hydrogen peroxide. I would then take a hot wet washcloth and massage the area. The heat and massage will improve the blood supply to the area so it will heal more quickly. If there is a pocket of puss the goal is to get the scab off so the infection can drain. If there is an open wound then I would apply a thin film of antibacterial ointment on it afterwards. If she becomes lethargic and not eating then I would bring her in for an exam as she may have a fever and need antibiotics.
