Why are there brown spots, hair loss, and swelling above my cat's eyes?

Ouch! Those are some major hot spots in that photo. I would recommend having Lili seen by your vet so the area can be clipped and cleaned and any medications such as pain or antibiotics can be given to help it heal a bit faster. I'd also keep Lili from scratching or pawing at it as this can introduce bacteria and more inflammation which can slow healing. If only Lili is affected and you're not noticing other issues like parasites, etc, it is possible there is an allergy underlying. She could be rubbing up against something causing the itchiness, or could have an ingredient allergy to something in her food (or a treat if the spots correspond with intermittent feeding of a treat or wet food). Other issues such as an underlying illness like an immune or metabolic issue can also cause scabbing and skin issues that affect only one cat in the household. A vet visit is a good option at this point both to treat the current scabs and to see if a food trial, allergy meds, or additional testing such as bloodwork to rule out any underlying health issues may be beneficial in finding the cause.

That looks like an infection with how red it is and the fur lose. Allergies and skin mites would be other potential causes though less common. There may not be much you can do at home. You can try adding in an omega 3 fatty acid supplement for pets, this can help improve the skin health. You may also try changing her diet to something like Royal Canin or Nutro as they are aimed at skin health. Also protect the area from trauma by having your kitty wear an elizabethan collar at all times. Molly's lesions indicate there is an infection present. Its usually bacteria but fungus (ringworm-which you can get) can also be possible. I would recommend to take Melly into to see her doctor. The doctor will treat her for the infection and may recommend ringworm testing. It could just be a one time thing but fleas, food allergy and environmental allergy can all present like this. They eye being swollen could signify infection on the eye lid, infection of the eye or a scratch. Try to get her in today of tomorrow. Best of luck!

Poor girl. If there is swelling and scabbing, I would definitely recommend taking Bayley in to your vet for a thorough look at her eye to ensure everything is ok. It sounds like she may have an infection and in need of prescription topical eye medication through your vet. The scabs may be from her scratching around her eye or a separate issue (i.e. fleas, bacterial infection, etc) altogether. After physical exam the vet should be able to figure out the cause and get her on medication to help with that too. I hope that things work out well for your pet Bayley moving forward. It looks like she make have gotten a small wound on her head, maybe from getting swatted by another cat. Cat claws and bites tend to make wounds with small holes that seal over and trap bacteria inside. This will form a small abscess which will then rupture, which is what this appears to be to me. Keep an eye on it and keep it clean with a washcloth, warm water and a mild soap. Clean it two or three times a day and make sure to get all the soap off or it will irritate her skin. As long as it continues to improve and she is acting fine, eating and drinking, she should be fine. If it closes up again, swells, gets really red, hot, or if she starts acting sick or loses her appetite, get her in to see you vet as soon as possible as she may then need antibiotics to clear up the infection and heal.
