My cat ate tinsel, it's hanging from his rear. Will it pass on its own?

Pet's info: Cat | Balinese | Male | unneutered | 7 months and 22 days old | 5 lbs

I just found out that my cat spirit hes 7 months old ate a piece of Christmas tinsel its hanging from his butt I just need to know will it come out on its own the rest of the way

Hello. It should pass on its own, but if it is annoying Spirit, then you may need your veterinarian to help remove it. I do not recommend you just pulling as it is possible to lacerate the colon if you do. Hopefully, he did not eat any more as tinsel can cause intestinal blockages. Give him a bit of time & hopefully he will poop out the tinsel on his own. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
