Can I give my cat's antibiotic injection in her neck instead of leg?

Oral antibiotics can not be injected so please don't inject an antibiotic that was prescribed orally. There is an injectable antibiotic called Convenia that you could ask your vet about administering.

An insulin injection can really be given anywhere on the body - just pinch up the skin a bit, and insert the needle :) Most cat owners prefer to use the scruff of the neck because the skin there is easily accessible and not very sensitive, but you could also give the injection over one of his hips, one of his shoulder blades, or on the side of his body over the rib cage if you prefer.

I can definitely understand your concerns! My short answer is no. Cats are very small compared to humans and the dosing is completely different. This is not a safe approach. Plus, antibiotics should never be given without a prescription by a veterinarian, as inappropriate use can lead to bacterial resistance, which can cause more serious problems. Hi, sorry to hear that Lopey is poorly. He could have a different antibiotic to the one he has received already, even if long lasting with certain conditions we commonly give 2 antibiotics at the same time. At this stage I would probably choose to prescribe clindamycin such as Zodon liquid suspension. This formulation would be easy to administer to Lopey in his mouth or in his food. Ask your vet to write a prescription for it, hope this helps.
