My cat is aggressive after spay. How do I reintroduce them?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 10 lbs

My cat has been being very aggressive toward her litter mate after her litter mate's spay. This has been happening since March of this year, and nothing I do to reintroduce them seems to be helping, even cat pheromone diffusers!

This may be difficult to correct but it generally can be done. Continue using the diffuser. Try switching litter boxes, beds, and rubbing each cat with the same towel to try to get them to smell like each other.

Setting aside 30 minutes a day for vigorous play for both cats or switching the food to Royal Canin Calm may help. The veterinarian can also prescribe medications which can help with aggression. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
