Yes, I would be concerned. It sounds like Rosey could have a respiratory infection. I'd take her into a vet as soon as possible to get checked out, as I'm concerned about her breathing heavily. Rush her into an ER vet if she starts open mouth breathing. If she's congested, you can also try using a humidifier or bringing her into the bathroom with the door closed while you take a hot shower - the steam and humidity help to break up congestion and temporarily relieve symptoms associated with respiratory infections. Cats especially do not tolerate respiratory difficulties well and they will tend to become critical quickly. Pneumonia, feline asthma, heart disease, heartworm, and cancer are all common causes of respiratory problems in cats. I would highly encourage you to have her evaluated by a veterinarian immediately. I'm sorry to hear Sniffles is feeling under the weather. Upper respiratory infections in cats frequently have a viral origin, which is lifelong and cannot be cured but does not usually decrease lifespan expectancy. When the virus has a flare up, it allows secondary bacterial infections, which result in eye and nasal discharge that requires treatment with antibiotics. I would recommend that she be seen by her regular veterinarian to determine if she dies have an upper respiratory infection again or if there is something else (heart issue, allergies, etc.) going on and come up with an appropriate treatment plan if needed. Sunshine probably has an upper respiratory infection, or cold. As this is a viral infection It will run its course in a week or so. As long as she's just quiet and resting, eating a drinking some then you do not need to bring her in. If she should stop eating, the eye and nose discharge turns green and she becomes very lethargic then she may have a secondary bacterial infection that would need to be treated by your veterinarian. Sunshine is an older cat so if she's not recovering well then don't wait too long to bring her for an exam.
