If that doesn’t work you can change to a prescription weight loss formula diet such as science diet metabolic. Try to stimulate and play more to increase her activity level

Have Spree examined by your veterinarian to diagnose any medical causes for her weight gain or lack of weight loss. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I think bathing a cat every week is excessive. I do not think bathing him will help much with the hair loss. I would be sure he doesn't have fleas or lice. If he has fleas sue a good product like comfortis, Serest collar or bravecto. If there are no fleas I would have him seen by your Vet to have him tested for mites (skin scrape) and ringworm (fungal culture). If all medical conditions have been ruled out her may be pulling hi hair out for behavioral reasons. Be care with too much coconut oil, since cats groom and Micole is excessively grooming ingesting too much can be a problem. I hope this helps and I wish Micole a speedy recovery!

So, for example, if April weighs 12 lbs but should weigh closer to 10 lbs you'd want to feed the amount for a 10 lb cat. I often recommend feeding even 25% less than is recommended for the idea body weight because most cats tend to be pretty sedentary. Feeding an all canned food diet can also be helpful for weight loss. There are also prescription diets available like Royal Canin Low fat and Hill's Metabolic that can help with weight loss. If you are concerned with April's weight after taking some steps to reduce her calorie intake, you can always discuss a prescription weight loss diet with your veterinarian.
