How much to bring a parakeet to Australia? Fees and quarantine costs?

You can bring birds to Australia however it can get very complicated. i would recommend contacting the USDA in your state to see what requirements are needed. Most birds need specific testing and free of certain disease. Also most birds will have to be quarantined for a specific amount of time once they reach Australia. It might not be worth all the paper work and cost unless you are moving there. The USDA will have a lot more information for you. hope that help

I don't suspect they routinely clip parakeet wings at the vaccine clinics which is the majority of the services offered at Petco. The grooming salons in Petco likely don't clip wings either. Some of the Vetco hospitals may clip wings. I recommend to call ahead and find out if this is offered and cost. Provide food and water and minimize stress and handling once separated.
