Pet's info: Bird | Cockatiel | Female | 1 year and 10 months old
My cockatiel used to molt less than a month we took her to the vet about 2 months ago n she's been taking multivitamin electrolyte every other day and she didnt molt until a few days ago she's started to molt again. Im worried that she has a ilness other than just nutrition problem btw during these 2 months she didnt take much vitamin from fresh fruits or protein but she was okay until a few days ago and that was probably the longest time shs didnt molt . So what do u think is the reason?:(

Thanks for reaching out about Naoki and including a photo. The are several nutritional deficiencies (vitamin A, protein, others) that can make feathers fall out easily. But there are several other infectious diseases (mostly viral) that should be tested.
Molting should not occur monthly, but usually once yearly in spring.
Most birds don't nap during the day if kept stimulated.
Good luck.
