My canary vomited pellets once. Is this normal or a health concern?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Male | unneutered

My Canary, Ringo, vomited once over night - he vomited his Pellets, into his Feed dish. If he only does this once, is he sick, or something didn't agree with him, or he ate too much or too fast? He is about 1-1/2 yrs. old.

This is likely regurgitation and not vomiting. Birds normally do this from time to time for various reasons, so I wouldn't worry too much about this. If he starts to do it more frequently, then I would be more concerned and recommend a vet evaluate him.

For more information about this, I recommend you read the information at the link below.

I hope that helps and all is well with Ringo.
