My budgies are sick and dying with tail bobbing. No vet nearby. Help!

Hiya I recently brought an aviary of budgies and have noticed a few are looking off. Ive lost two already and have the other two that weren't looking well inside in a small cage. Tail bobbing and faces are stained. I dont have any local bird vets. Please help

Thanks for your question, and I am sorry that you are losing birds in your collection. With the multiple losses that you are experiencing, I would suspect that there is an infectious process occurring (such as a bacterial infection, parasites, etc). You can attempt to provide supportive care through ensuring the cages are very clean, a proper diet, and adequate ventilation, but this may not be enough to prevent additional losses.
There are services that allow for clients to submit their animals that have passed away for a necropsy (essentially an autopsy for animals). This may be an option for you. These are often associated with universities that have veterinary schools. They have instructions for handling and shipping online oftentimes, or you can call for instructions as well.

Aspergillosis is a serious respiratory problem and very difficult to treat, where aggressive treatment having a better prognosis. Aspergillosis is usually related to an environmental exposure, so pristine conditions are the best prevention. Tail bobbing is a general clinical sign of some respiratory difficulty, of which there are many causes beyond aspergillosis. Dietary deficiencies, especially vitamin A, can predispose to secondary problems. Birds will not do well with an exclusive seed diet. Often local rescue groups might have funds to assist with veterinary visits. Good luck.

My parakeet is puffed, tail bobbing, sleeping. Can't afford vet.

Sorry to hear about Sky, but is sounds as if he is having respiratory problems (due to the tail bobbing). I would reach out to the Humane Society for help. It is important to seek help quickly as it sounds as if Sky is fairly sick. At home, providing heat support in the range of 85-90 degrees. This sometimes stimulates the immune system but will not replace seeking a veterinarian. Sorry I can't help more. Good luck.

Ripple is probably ill, but i couldn't tell you what is wrong based on these very general symptoms, you will need to take her to an avian vet where a blood test and faecal exam will be done to determine what is the cause of the disease before it can be treated.
