Hello. You can use Zymox Otic Cleanser, an over the counter preparation that is effective against bacterial, fungal & yeast organisms. Petco does indicate they carry this & hopefully they are still open in your area. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Hello. Petco carries a number of products that might help. Zymox makes a spray & a salve that contains hydrocortisone, that can really help with the itching. On-line, you can find many more products such as shampoos & conditioners that also contain hydrocortisone. Topicals only work for short periods of time. Longer relief can be obtained with immunostimulants such as Apoquel & Cytopoint, both available from your veterinarian. Your pet may also have additional issues such as skin mites, fleas, bacterial & yeast infections in the skin, & your veterinarian can certainly help to sort some of these issues out. If the over the counter products do not seem to be controlling her symptoms, then please consider checking Chancla out with your veterinarian. Thanks for contacting Boop by Petco.

It does look like a pimple/pustule. I would not be overly concerned. It may go away on it's own. I recommend you use these medicated pads on the affected area once a day until healed. It should heal faster with treatment. Hope this helps! https://worldtails.securevetsource.com/itemView/view/198944_HomeDelivery.pml?productId=117958

Hi, thank you for using Boop by Petco. Skin issues can certainly be frustrating. If Mocha isn't responding to the therapy her vet prescribed, please contact them to discuss next steps. It is impossible to diagnose a skin condition from photos alone. Her vet may recommend doing cytology, fungal culture and/or skin scrapes to determine the cause of her infection. In some cases referral to a veterinary dermatologist may be recommended for difficult cases. Sometimes there is underlying endocrine disease or allergies that may require bloodwork to diagnose. In the meantime, a diet for sensitive skin is always a good idea for dogs with recurrent skin infection. I really like Purina ProPlan Salmon for dogs with skin problems. https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/purina-pro-plan-focus-adult-sensitive-skin-and-stomach-salmon-and-rice-formula-dry-dog-food-5-lb-bag-2579482?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=PLA&scid=scbplp2579482&sc_intid=2579482&cm_mmc=PLA-MSN-_-PTC_P

If there is a secondary bacterial infection, I would recommend using product called Duoxo Chlorhexidine + Calm shampoo and bathe twice weekly until resolved. I would also recommend picking up a hydrocortisone spray (Well and Good at Petco) and apply daily to the affected area to relieve inflammation. If it does not resolve or worsens, I would have a veterinarian take a look at Harley so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps!
