I would say Joey is a large breed dog based on his mix of breeds. I recommend feeing him a high quality large breed dog food. These foods will have joint support, which is great for bigger dogs. Brands I recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. I hope this helps!

Wellness is an excellent choice for a dog food. If Willow eats it, does well on it and it is easy for you to buy, then by all means continue feeding it. I have fed this diet to my pets in the past. (I can't feed it currently because my dog is allergic to peas). This is my own opinion unrelated to Petco or Boop by Petco.

Choose a good quality food with a named protein source. Avoid meat meals and by products. Stay away from store or discount brands. These typically contain low quality ingredients an dmore fillers. A "large breed" formula would be recommended. Premium brands include the Royal Canin line, Acana, Canidae and Orijen. The website www.dogfoodadvisor.com is an excellent resource for comparing foods.

Grains are very rarely the cause of any skin issues so switching Kyya to a normal, grain containing diet is recommended. Keep in mind that the link is not understood but as long as the pet is not showing signs of heart disease, changing the diet will help avoid any heart pathology. The brand I like best is Royal Canin. You would pick the large breed formula. I also like Purina ProPlan. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your dog. I would recommend a large breed formula based on his profile. I recommend Hill's, Purina ProPlan or Royal Canin. These are large pet food companies that do extensive research on their diets. They have veterinary nutritionists on staff as well. They ensure their diets are properly formulated by performing feeding trials as opposed to just chemical analysis in a laboratory. These are benefits not offered by smaller niche market companies. I hope this information helps!
