Yes, it is ok to use it to disinfect and prevent possible infections. I would recommend to use it twice daily for the next 3 days and if you do not notice any improvement, to take him to your local veterinarian as oral antibiotics may be needed. Make sure the solution does not get in contact with eyes.

Hello there! I'm sorry to hear that little Nibblet is having some trouble. Luckily, Malacetic and Tresaderm are topical drugs that don't work systemically like prednisone and the bronchodilator, so they should not interact. If you think Nibblet is having additional issues since starting these medications, please give your vet a call for further advice as they know much more about Nibblet's conditions and can offer more individualized advice. I hope she feels better soon!

Gentamycin is a common ingredient in ear medications. There is a small risk of damaging the hearing, especially if the ear drum is not intact. When I diagnose an ear infection in a pet, I recommend a two-part treatment. The first is with a cleaner to remove any debris; I like DECHRA DermaPet Malacetic Otic. This is important as ear medications need to contact the skin of the ear and if there is ear wax or other debris in the way, then the medications can't work. After the ears are dry, you can apply the medication. Ears typically need to be treated twice a day for 7-10 days. Cats can commonly get ear mites that may look like an ear infection. If you have not treated Melcho for ear mites, I recommend doing so now. If the ear infection does not resolve after using an ear cleaner and the Dexoryl within a week, then Melcho should see the vet as he could have a resistant bacteria growing, yeast infection, parasites, or even a polyp causing problems deep in his ear. I cannot find a list of

I would not recommend using this medication on your dog. This medicine contains very unusual combination of active ingredients (antibiotic, anti-fungal agent, steroid and an agent against skin parasites). Giving steroids in fungal infections and parasites infestation is contraindicated but in this medicine they have been combined. It sounds that the tablets are for ' all possible skin problems' but by using it, for example in case of a mange or ringworm it could make things worse.
