Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Chowder is very cute! I think he is too young to tell and we would need more pictures. For fun if you want to run a home DNA test you can buy them online. I don't find them very accurate though. If you want to send more pictures or post a gain when he/s bigger it may help. Congrats on your new addition! https://www.chewy.com/wisdom-panel-30-breed-identification/dp/127224?utm_source=google-product&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=hg&utm_content=Wisdom%20Panel&utm_term=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIiqGGx7ak1gIVBAlpCh04xQKfEAQYASABEgLDdPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. Seeing that Harry is 9 years of age, what you are seeing could certainly be due to age. He may be suffering from canine cognitive dysfunction. I would recommend that Harry be examined by a veterinarian and having his blood tested to rule out any other possible causes. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

Exercise: as much as Murphy wants! At this age, I don't push them if they seem tired, but offer several small activities throughout the day to help burn off the excess puppy energy. Water: free choice. Leave a bowl out and let Murphy drink when he is thirsty. If he is outside for a while, water should also be available outside. Food: it depends on the food you are feeding and the current weight of the puppy. Hill's large breed puppy is a good choice. There are feeding guidelines on the bag. For 15 pounds and under 4 months of age, Murphy should get 2 cups per day (or 1 cup morning and night). Go to this link and scroll down to "Feeding Guide" and then look at the chart, as it will change as he grows and ages. https://www.hillspet.com/dog-food/sd-canine-puppy-large-breed-dry NO RAWHIDES! As an emergency vet, I see so many issues with rawhides, it just isn't worth it. Look for toys designed for puppies and their very sharp teeth. I like Starmark toys/treats. Treats should always be g

I would increase the exercise during the time you have available for your dog. A tied dog is a happy dog. Long walks, playing fetch or tug, and trick training are all fun and will tire him out. Also you both would enjoy a group obedience class so you can learn to work together and he’ll learn things that will make him a better companion so you won’t need to correct his behavior as often. He’s still a teenager so be patient. He’ll improve as he grows up and learns what you expect from him. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help you care for Harley.

Congratulations on your new puppy! Play biting and being excessively "mouthy" is very common in puppies. I have not personally had luck with the techniques of saying "No!" or holding the muzzle. I that makes puppies more excited. My general rule for puppies is that you make a high pitched squeak (like a litter mate puppy would do if they bit too hard), then walk away from the situation. More than anything, Nova wants to play with you. If you walk away, it is negative reinforcement, so she is less likely to do that behavior again. Depending on the puppy, the goal is to get them to look away from you or start doing something else before you engage in play again. I found that a long rope toy made a good toy to play with my puppy because there was lots of toy for him to bite at without touching my skin. It sounds like Nova prefers more interactive play, so that might be helpful to play with her and get some energy out. I also found that allowing my dog to play with other dogs was
