Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! You are my hero for trying to brush Nala's teeth. If you haven't tried to start with the left side first, do that. Yes, at least getting the enzyme tooth paste on the teeth will do something. The brushing does help the most. Try to brush at least 3 times per week. They also make a tooth brush that fits on your finger tip, that may work better for her. Also check out the link for the Veterinary Oral Health Council's recommended products. Otherwise just keep trying! Practice makes perfect and also hopefully Nala will acclimate. She may still be sensitive on the one side from the cleaning. I hope this helps and I wish you and Nala the best! http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=3497 http://www.vohc.org/accepted_products_cats.html

I'm not as familiar with the Oxyfresh brand. The Oratene products are amazing and they have a brushless gel as well. ( https://www.allivet.com/p-5484-oratene-veterinarian-antiseptic-oral-gel-1-oz.aspx ) Glad you are getting the other products. Hope they help!

Hello. I do not know what might be available in Canada, but I highly recommend looking at this website for the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Click on the Accepted Products link at the top, then on accepted products for cats. It will list everything that is truly tested to provide results. Thanks for using Boop by Petco. https://www.vohc.org

Hills vet essentials range is specifically formulated in texture to keep tartar build up to a minimum. Enzymatic toothpastes into the mouth last thing at night and dentagen aqua water supplement can also help as well as annual dental checks

Hello. As you can see on the product, this does have the seal of the VOHC (Veterinary Oral Health Council), but when I look closer at the recommendations they have, this product seems to be better for dogs, than cats. It is absolutely safe for cats, but if you want to use one truly recommended by the VOHC for cats, then look for Healthymouth Toothpast/Brush Kit Combination for cats. This is the only toothpaste type product they recommend specifically for cats & this was of February, 2022. If you cannot find the Healthymouth toothpast for cats, then the Petsmile product is perfectly fine to use on Sweetie. Thanks for contacting Boop by Petco.
