There are a number of products available to put on a dog’s food that make their feces taste bad and deter this behavior. Many are available at PetCo. Just ask a helpful associate to show you. Here is an article you may find useful: https://www.petcoach.co/article/proper-pups-don-t-eat-poo-or-do-they/ I hope that is helpful! Thank you for using Boop by Petco!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! You have a few options here. You could get a muzzle to avoid getting bit. You could consider bathing him which will make the lump of feces more manageable when is wet. Also, you could consider using an e-collar so that it is difficult for him to get around you to potentially bite. Good luck!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! There are daily variations in the defecation routine so this is not necessarily abnormal. I would not be too concerned about this as you will most likely not run into this issue. Have a great day!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Yes, this could be secondary to dietary indiscretion from changing his diet though this could also be something else. If it is just from changing his diet then this should stop very shortly. However, if this is due to something else such as pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, among other possibilities then this is unlikely to resolve and a veterinary evaluation would be indicated for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a great day!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! It is hard to see in these pictures. The red tinge may be blood or it may something that he ate. I think it would be fine to monitor him for now. However, if this turns into diarrhea or there is actual evidence of blood in the feces, have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a great day!
