If it is available, my best topical flea treatment for cats is Cheristin. It is very effective and kills fleas before they bite, which is helpful for cats with flea allergies since it is the bite they react to. Comfortis is a tablet that is also very effective, but it can cause vomiting.
You may benefit from contacting the company directly and asking for coupons or free samples. You might consider giving your local SPCA or discount clinic a call as well. They may know more about discounted options in your area.
Hello. I do not know what might be available in Canada, but I highly recommend looking at this website for the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Click on the Accepted Products link at the top, then on accepted products for cats. It will list everything that is truly tested to provide results. Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This is possibly due to allergies. It really comes down to figuring out what is causing their allergies so that they can be treated or the specific allergen avoided. There are many things that can cause allergies though in most cases they can be broken down into 3 big categories: flea, food and environmental allergies. Allergies are usually worked up in a stepwise fashion starting with flea allergies as this is the easiest and cheapest to take care of. If not on a flea preventative, then it would be a good idea to get started on one. If already on one then it would be a good idea to change to something else (there are many new products out in the market). If not improved in 1-3 months then it is time to move on and check for food allergies by switching to a novel diet (new protein and new carbohydrate). If that does not seem to be the issue then you are left out having to check for environmental allergies which require blood and/or skin tests. All
I would personally use one of the oral pills like Comfortis or Bravecto. I like Bravecto because it's newer and the fleas haven't been exposed to it yet so there is no resistance. It is also nice because one dose lasts 12 weeks. All the other products only last 4 weeks. https://us.bravecto.com/for-cats.aspx The Adams spray does not work for long term use and you are just dousing her chemicals every time you use it. It is not bad for spot treatment here and there but I would not use it all the time. I would recommend you use this Flea/tick mousse maybe 1-2x a week. It is easy to apply and not as "chemically" as the Adams Spray. It is more natural. https://www.chewy.com/vets-best-waterless-flea-tick-cat/dp/148050 Also, I know you said you treated the house which is great but I'm not sure what product you used so I will recommend one. You also need to treat the yard. I like this house spray. I find it works the best: https://www.chewy.com/virbac-knockout-es-area-treatment/d
