Because fleas are so problematic, flea prevention is essential! Commonly prescribed preventives include oral and topical medications—although injectable flea prevention is available, as well.

Im very sorry to hear about your cat! Unfortunately 3 weeks is very young to vaccinate a kitten so your vet was probably concerned about this. In terms of disinfecting the house you can use bleach in a dilution of 1:10 water but you need to leave it for at leat 10 minutes befire rinsing and repeat for 5 days. Otherwise you can buy special cleaner with peroxygen in it. All in contact toys bedding bowls and litter trays should be thrown out.

Hello and thank you for your question on Boop by Petco! Good question! A wide variety of disinfects will deactivate the common viruses repressible for upper respiratory illness in cats as will steam cleaning. Lysol or clorox products or a diluted bleach solution can do the trick. I hope this helps and best of luck

Unfortunately fleas only hop on the body of your pet when they want to feed, then they hop off again and stay in your pet's environment. So you need to treat all pets in the household as well as the environment (which contains the fleas, their eggs and larvae). Flea treatment: 1) Get some flea medication such as a Flea spray or a spot on from a pet shop or your veterinarian and apply monthly 2) get flea powder, put some in your vacuum cleaner bag and vacuum your house and furniture and also non-carpeted areas frequently to remove flea larvae and eggs which live off house dust., Dispose of the bag in the trash outside. Hot-wash all the pet's bedding, If you do this diligently for a few months you will get rid of the fleas. Flea products: Spot-ons and/or chews Advantage, Advantage Multi Frontli

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I suggest you try a product called Bravecto which is topical and there is no need to bathe afterwards and it is only applied every 3 months so it would be very convenient for you. Good luck!
