I gave my cats and dog capstar last night around 7pm my one cat threw up like half hour later but I plan on giving the cats advangtage ll and the dog nexgaurd at around 3pm today I was wondering should I give them another capstar before I give it to
Good morning! Capstar is generally thought to be effective for 24-48 hours, so I don't think you need to give another Capstar if you gave one last night. The nexgaurd should not interact negatively with the spot-on product or bath because they work differently. If you are having difficulty with fleas in your pets then you may also need to treat your home and possibly your yard. Vacuum all floors (including wood floors) and furniture and throw the contents in the trash outside, wash all pet pedding in hot water if possible and put in hot dryer. Hello. What flea treatment do you recommend? I don't want to use collars. I already have shampoo but I also want a preventive. Thank you in advance!

My brother put Hartz topical flea treatment on my dog when I was out of town. I have an Rx for Nexgard, his fleas are horrible and he has a flea allergy. It's been 1 week and a half since the Hartz was applied. It is not doing anything for the flesh.
You can give him the Nexgard now. There is more you can do: fleas only hop on the body of your pet when they want to feed, then they hop off again and stay in your pet's environment. So you need to treat all pets in the household as well as the environment (which contains the fleas, their eggs and larvae). Flea treatment: 1) Get some flea medication such as a Flea spray or a spot on from a pet shop or your veterinarian and apply monthly (Nexguard is great) 2) get flea powder, put some in your vacuum cleaner bag and vacuum your house and furniture and also non-carpeted areas frequently to remove flea larvae and eggs which live off house dust., Dispose of the bag in the trash outside. Hot-wash all the pet's bedding, If you do this diligently for a few months you will get rid of the fleas.

Hey. I have been giving my dog sentinel chewable for fleas. I don't think it is working so I got nexgaurd instead. It's only been 2 weeks since I gave her the last sentinel dose. Do I have to wait the full month before giving her the nexgaurd? She is
We typically recommend waiting 3 weeks between product changes but if she is miserable, you are probably OK to give it to her now. Just be sure you are home to monitor her for any possible reactions. My dog needs flea and tick protection. How can I get a prescription?
There are several products effective against fleas and ticks that you can buy over the counter. They are in form of topical spot-on pipette that you apply on skin (for example Frontline, K9 Advantix), collars (Seresto, Killtix) or tablets (Nexgard). If you search online you will find many shops selling these products. Alternatively, you should be able to buy them in pet shops or at the vets.
