Without seeing Z in person, I can't say what is the best course of treatment for him. I'd trust your vet's decision, but if you do have questions, you can always take him into another vet for a second opinion.

Hello. No, this sounds pretty normal for a puppy ( many will experience bouts of hiccups ). However, metronidazole is an antibiotic & will do nothing for the roundworms. Ask your vet about this & make sure Hachiko receives something like pyrantel pamoate to remove all the roundworms from her GI tract. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Yes we do. I would definitely use either pill pockets (from your local pet store) or a pill gun (can be purchased from the pet store as well- check your local listings or your vet). You can try to mix it with some tuna. Metronidazole is ok to grind up if needed. Best of luck!

Phenobarbital speeds up liver activity, which can have an affect on drugs that are metabolized by the liver, such as metronidazole. That means that it may be metabolized more rapidly, requiring an adjustment in the dose of metronidazole. I would speak to your vet about this interaction.

Metronidazole is used as an antibiotic against anaerobic bacteria in aquaria as well as an antiprotozoal medication. Dosing will depend on the concentration of the product as well as the size of the tank. Follow label directions carefully and remove the carbon filter insert during treatment.
