Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Yes, she can absolutely use her litter box. It is ok for her to be in the bathroom. However, it is important to consider using an e-collar if she is going to be left unattended to try to prevent her from licking at the incision and causing an infection or opening her incision. You can buy an e-collar from your veterinarian or at your local pet store. Good luck and have a great day!

I would get a soft paper collar at PetCo that you can tighten so he can’t remove it. If it’s been a day or two then go back to his normal litter. I don’t want to break his litter box training, and he could develop a urinary problem if he’s not going regularly. If the incisions are closed then the litter won’t be an issue. In a few days the incisions will heal. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help you care for Hunter.

Just use the same litter. Take Fatboy and gently place him in the box and take one of the front paws and and scratcch the litter a bit. That should be enough, Cats are pretty clever and he is probably happy about the new box.

I hope you will be having someone come by to check on your cat AT LEAST every other day. You can't leave her unattended for 8 days. A self cleaning box is nice but that will not be good for 8 days; the compartment that holds the sifted cat waste needs to be emptied and the litter used will need to be replaced or replenished for the box to function properly. You also have her make sure she will actually use this box before you go. Automatic feeders can clog leaving her with no food and her water needs to be changed and refilled. You must get someone to check on her, make sure the litter box tray is emptied, the food is refilled and the automatic feeder is working and that she has fresh, clean water.

Tidy cat is a very good brand of cat litter. Try this as an alternative when needed but try to stick with the cat litter that Jackie likes the best and is used to. If she continues scooting, have her checked by her veterinarian for an anal gland problem. Please feel free to post any additional questions.
