That's cool that the recovery suit will work for her then. The cost of crates vary by location, so I would check costs in pet stores, as well as checking online sites that resell things (like Ebay if you have that in Bosnia & Herzegovina). You may be able to buy one second hand. Yes, she can eat her regular food :-)
That set up looks perfect for Kitter. Thanks for including pictures. The reality is that cats sleep when we are at work, so my only concern at 14 years old is that he is able to comfortably jump up to the second level in order to access his bed. As long as he is able to make that jump easily, I think he will be very comfortable in that cage while he gets acclimated to his new home. Good luck! I hope that was helpful and answers your question. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.
A crate or crate training is never a bad idea. It can also serve as a safe place for Bella (as you have stated). It doesn't need to be huge either, just big enough for her to lay down, turn around and stand. Make sure there are no sharp edges and that the bars are close enough together so she cannot get her head between them.
That sounds like a good plan for the first couple of days of Lucy being home to help keep everyone safe. See the links below for more information, and congratulations on the new addition! https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=8569058 https://indoorpet.osu.edu/dogs/new_additions_dogs/intro-dog-cat
